Instructions:
- Ensure packaging materials are correct as per Schedulers schedule
- Ensure pallet is in good condition as per sign located in Packaging
room (ie, No damaged or
missing deck boards, initialed by Operator)
- Ensure the Operators initials, time skid started and ended and amount or quantity of skid are documented on
the log
- Ensure Production Slip is attached to the skid
- Production Slip number and Best Before date must be written on
front and back of each pallet.
- Place month label on front of each pallet.
- On Hold Tag numbers will be recorded on this sheet by the Food
Safety Team, or designate
At the end of any flavour or when production finishes, only FULL pallets can
be sent to shipping. Remaining cases
must be recorded on a separate Production Slip and placed on another pallet
(1) As an additional
verification, at a Flavour or packaging change of the
same flavour (brand or size), the Piler
is to verify bags on the turntable are the correct brand, size and flavour, and
is to verify that the box label match what is required on the front of this
form.
Examples:
o You have 45 cases of No Name Bacon:
PS # 12345 = 42
PS # 12346 = 3 (on separate pallet)
Not one Production Slip with 45
o You have 273 cases of 12 Pack Deluxe:
PS # 23456 = 272
PS # 23457 = 1 (on separate pallet)
Not one Production Slip with 273
The shippers ask you
to make a few cases to fill up a pallet:
PS # 34567 = 3 (on separate pallet)
- In summary: full skids
only, such as 42 for perogies. No
pallets with 43, 45 etc.
Deviation:
- Damaged pallets are to be placed to the side, P4 or P3 to be
informed of the damaged pallet
- Shipping Manager or designate to further inspect and disposition
the pallet
