PRODUCTION SLIP LOG

Person responsible: Trained Operator

Instructions:

  • Ensure packaging materials are correct as per Schedulers schedule
  • Ensure pallet is in good condition as per sign located in Packaging room (ie, No damaged or missing deck boards, initialed by Operator)
  • Ensure the Operators initials, time skid started and ended and amount or quantity of skid are documented on the log
  • Ensure Production Slip is attached to the skid
  • Production Slip number and Best Before date must be written on front and back of each pallet.
  • Place month label on front of each pallet.
  • On Hold Tag numbers will be recorded on this sheet by the Food Safety Team, or designate

At the end of any flavour or when production finishes, only FULL pallets can be sent to shipping. Remaining cases must be recorded on a separate Production Slip and placed on another pallet

         (1) As an additional verification, at a Flavour or packaging change of the same flavour (brand or size), the Piler is to verify bags on the turntable are the correct brand, size and flavour, and is to verify that the box label match what is required on the front of this form.

         Examples:

o    You have 45 cases of No Name Bacon:

  PS # 12345 = 42

  PS # 12346 = 3 (on separate pallet)

Not one Production Slip with 45

o    You have 273 cases of 12 Pack Deluxe:

  PS # 23456 = 272

  PS # 23457 = 1 (on separate pallet)

Not one Production Slip with 273

The shippers ask you to make a few cases to fill up a pallet:

  PS # 34567 = 3 (on separate pallet)

  • In summary: full skids only, such as 42 for perogies. No pallets with 43, 45 etc.

Deviation:

  • Damaged pallets are to be placed to the side, P4 or P3 to be informed of the damaged pallet
  • Shipping Manager or designate to further inspect and disposition the pallet
